Oh, the Innocent

S: "I'm a cowboy!"
Me: "Girl. You're a cowgirl."
S: "I'm a cowgirl, and you're a cow."

To the Point

S: "T, this isn't fun anymore. It's time for me to move on."

...my four-year-old has a better break up speech than I ever did.

Freud's Envy Theory Busted

Last night, as Michael was changing T's diaper:

S:  "Is T a boy?"
Michael:  "Yes."
S:  "Are you just like T?"
Michael:  "Yes..."
S:  "Am I just like you and T?"
Michael: "No, you are just like Mommy."
S:  "Yesssss!"

Sorry Freud, you've got nothing on my daughter.

Laughter is the Best Medicine

Focusing on the negative of each day is easy.  It sticks out easier in our mind when we're telling somebody about our day.  It feels good to vent, but it never solves anything, sometimes it even builds the problem up in our mind.  I am making the goal to focus on the moments that make me laugh each day, and share those moments with others that may also need a chuckle.  Fortunately for me, I have two beautiful children that provide me with a lot of writing material.  Stay tuned as I provide stories *hopefully* each day of moments that elicited at least a chuckle.
